First of all, I use books to learn things and I am a lifetime student. Books are my resource to feed my desire to permanently learn, and there is always a title for anything you can imagine. You find books from how to make money to how to ride horses.
A second reason to try Audio Books in particular is the ability to link with the author in an emotional way. Somewhat akin to listening to a good radio show (which are also available in store). You can experience emotions such as happy, sad, angry and love when you read books in this way. When you listen to a book with your head phones, you get a very special feeling. I feel the emotions stronger when I listen to a book than when simply reading in many cases. What books?
The books I have read are naturally a mixture of my interests, climbing, riding, Internet, Skiiing.
Another main interest is self development and personal growth. This must be my main reading category and some of the authors are Robert T Kiyosaki and Dr Wayne W Dyer and Dale Carnegie. Hear Now Audio Books is a website devoted to digitised books. The web master and owner is myself, Paul Proctor a confirmed bibliophile and Internet Geek. Due to increasing work commitments I started listening to more and more audio books in my so called down time (for example driving the car, bouldering at the climbing wall, gardening, out riding). I thus began to look for a way to combine my love of all things technological, the Internet and books! Thus Hear Now Audio Books was born
